What do you want God to do for you?

Such a daring question. A good one, no less.

We tend to dream small based on our fears and memory of selfishness.

Until we are honest enough to even admit our own wild dreams, we cannot even confront them with God.

So we remain small. In stature and accomplishments.

What do I want God to do for me?

Heal me?
Grant me financial freedom?
Help me see my true purpose in life?
Grant me a life companion?
Gift me the gift of children?
A house?
A community?
A restored relationship?

It’s not about how big the dreams are. It’s not about God’s ability to read our minds or fulfill them. It’s about us, aligning our heart to God and trusting Him with faithful love.

Life was not meant to be lived in fear and oppression. Yes, there will be pain and chiseling away our ego, but let’s not put on ourselves the crushing weight of unnecessary burdens. We can never be too much for God. It’s a devil’s lie.

Dream big. Love God with passion and joy. Fall back weightlessly in His care. Trust Him.

What do you want God to do for you?
Dare to look deeply inside. Dare to speak up. He is able. He is willing. He is our most generous Father.

Pray with a grateful heart. (Phil4)
Pray for anything giving thanks as if you already received and it shall be yours. (Mark11, 1John 5)
