Starting a business anywhere is daunting and downright hard. Combine it with moving across the world, new language for Conrad, new community, conferences and other big plans, maintaining the bills-paying current design business … you get the picture. The new business has given us many headaches. 90% is complex, behind the curtain hard work. But then we got to do fun stuff too.
“Since Wanderlust was born in Cluj, our vision was and is to share knowledge and passion for specialty coffee.
A good Romanian friend we met in San Francisco a few years ago, with whom we have very much in common, approached us recently to create a complete solution for making and enjoying specialty coffee in his Lateral Inc offices in Cluj. The experience was beyond expectations, both for us and for them, and so we expanded the solution in Targu Mures and Oradea. The days we spent with his programmers and designers, smart people, with a great sense of humor and personality, were a real pleasure.
Specialty coffee has entered in Romania in an apparently arrhythmic way, but education, the sharing of knowledge, passion and hands-on training are not exclusive to those working in the few Specialty Cafés.
Empowering the average consumer to prepare excellent coffee in the office or at home, goes hand in hand with coffee bars where a friendly and interesting barista captures our attention through stories, while his skillful hands create a magical cup of coffee, regardless of the method of brewing.
