Tomorrow we were supposed to go bring our daughter home. Even if just for the day. But Romania is entering a lawless weekend. A legal void. Nothing is illegal. But also nothing is clearly defined or permitted. No guidelines. No leadership in place.
We are beyond surprise or despair. It’s silly. It’s absurd.
What are we afraid of?
What is reasonable?
And what are we supposed to do going forward?
Who leads the way and how?
This week’s study with Brian brings me these verses.
And I find them surprisingly fitting. Such timing!
Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth— Isaiah 43
