I rooted my belief system in the proverbs. In a childhood / adolescence where I didn’t ask many questions, it didn’t mean my mind didn’t question or wonder, and my heart was hungry for Knowledge, I poured hours in the proverbs. Silence, humility, generosity, wisdom we’re all praised. Self confidence was not among the valued attributes. As I am very discreetly asked if I could be the MC at national event, I am tickled and I intrigued but I’m not hungry for the affirmation… so I wonder what my approach should be for my kids. Boosting their self esteem in a forced manner is of no real use to their fulfillment or development. In humility great work can be done. The moment we get a taste of pride, the essence is lost.
