Acum un an spuneai “gande” in loc de galben, si era dulce. Te mai încăpățânai sa stalcesti o mâna de alte cateva cuvinte. Azi nu te mai saturi sa vorbesti in engleză. Deplin, fluent, complex.

24 hours of traveling. We said goodbye to San Francisco Bay Area. “Goodbye house! Goodbye San Francisco!” she waved with giddiness as the plane took off.

This first month of the year, Bernard spoke to our hearts and minds. Such an Old Testament feast!

The weather has been consistently Spring like: Light showers, moderate chill, sunny disposition.

I knew we’d be entering a new world, unfamiliar to us yet. The adoption fairy land. I expected it to be challenging, intense and equally beautiful.

The world is turning on itself. It’s imploding actually.

I was in the laundry room, changing our clothes from the washer to the dryer, and mom was in the same room putting stuff away. Jaclyn comes with a deeply troubled face, forehead down and says: “I’m very upset. Nobody wants to play with me.”

I love to travel. I enjoy adventure and novelty in my life. Yet to this day I have mixed feeling everytime I embark on new trips.

In retrospective things make sense. I evaluate and see clearly. But writing on the go, processing present events, actions, feeling, this blog makes me feel a lot more vulnerable. I share as I go and at times it feels lame, un-chiseled, incomplete.

When do we learn to listen once and then compute?

I witness despair, cynicism, brokenness masked by a millimeter thin layer of cheer. The more noise the less substance.
