I am most grateful for kindergarten because Jaclyn got to play with kids her age, unsupervised by me. It gave me confidence in her and in myself. At times I felt responsible to oversee her actions, against my better judgement. I am inclined to trust her, and let her make mistakes and learn from them, but the general inclinations of motherhood made me feel ether paranoid or that I don’t care enough to micromanage J. So to that I say: thank God for kindergarten! Jackie is empathetic and kind, plays nice and shares, apologizes and makes up …the one thing she is not quite aware of is that she is physically strong beyond her years. Watch out the hug and the tight squeeze!
