Those four sister

As we received our certification that we are able to adopt, I was contacted by a friend who runs a non profit organization rescuing children at risk, caring for them temporary or long term through different partnerships or in the Hope House, and they have in their employment social workers who work on navigating the process for adoptions.

This friend Luminita, whom we visited just as we moved to Romania, asked if we would be able and willing to adopt four sisters. We didn’t have the necessary space and we weren’t ready for such a jump, from expecting one child to adopting four. I couldn’t wrap my mind around this. So we prayed for them, that God would bring their way the parents they need. Sure enough, just as we were matched with Jaclyn, a family was praying for four siblings. Their certification stated that they are able and willing to adopt four. This adoptive family lives in a different county, but the new adoption laws passed in August made the communication between counties and the adoption regulations more enabling ad speedier for the entire process.

Yesterday the court ruled in favor of their adoption. Together. The four girls will spend Easter in their new home. They wrote about it in the news paper here.

I have often thought about the four sisters. And I wondered if they are still in limbo, adopted two by two or together. How wonderful that there is a team of advocates and loving fighters to find the best suitable home for the children in need that cross their paths.
