Our magic hours

When we swim, the testing of boundaries, the whining, the no, the tiredness, hunger and thirst …they all fade away while we are at the pool.

Jaclyn is funny and adventurous. And I don’t think it’s just my eyes of a mom that see her this way. And even if they did, I am glad of it. She tirelessly tries new things, diving, floating, jumping, splashing… all this using her inside voice. She even whispers to me: – why do we need to “have silence”?

I guess I told her at the beginning that other people came to the pool to swim in silence and relax. So we need to respect that. I was laughing at her joke and she drew my attention that I need to keep it down. :-p

After we got home and she slept a good two hours, she got up with that lovely puffy sleepy face, came into my arms to snuggle the sluggishness away and said: “mommy, I love it with you and the goggles at the pool”.
