The shutters are half way down. It’s a hot Sunday in August in Bergamo. We came back from the absurdly long walk all the way to the top of the old city, the fortress, and back.
And now I’m reading Journal cu Petre Tutea. Alina has a wonderful collection of books. It has been a treat and such a generous gift to enjoy her comfortable home for a few days, while she is on the annual Italian 2 months off.
Reading smart books puts in the mood to write myself. It reminds me of all the ideas I have, simmering in my mind, ready to be let out. But at home, with little to no separation from work, family, church, my mind gets into the efficient or better said stressed, alert mode, and the writing dries up.
More on this topic later. Here are some pictures from our Italian trip.
