Conrad is deleting his facebook account. I just browsed through his pictures and got nostalgic. He seldom posts, but his input is always artistic, inspiring.

Consolidating (what and where we share) seems so appealing. We put off doing it …much like decluttering the closet. I get the impulse to sort through and give away (good but unnecessary stuff) and I never look back. My mom tells me of the people who get my gently worn clothes and their joy of receiving them… I understand too well as I also feel joy in getting clothes from others. I always did. A shirt here, a dress there. Sharing freely, paying it forward, multiplies the gift.

I know I said I would close this blog, and it is always an option, but I think I would first close away a few other social medias. Pairing down cuts ties to burdens.

I miss friends. I miss solid, intentional, chunky types of communication. The more I write into the ether, the less I feel genuinely connected to people. Yet sometimes my writings are conclusion to good talks or to good books I read.
