I felt very welcomed today, pe Inului 2-5. So grateful!
I woke up way early again, and pondered for a couple of hours in the dark. Later at 6 AM we did a FaceTime chat session with mom and dad, and gave them the tour of our half furnished apartment and then looked for couches all morning. (The internets for shopping are quite lame… or at least they are so for furniture shopping)
It was so foggy on the hills. A wet fog that makes one day-dream. And I think I cried every day from exhaustion (physical and mental) since I arrived. Who knew that adjusting back to one’s own culture is harder than going to live in a completely new place.
Every day is getting a little better. I am slowly finding a balance between life and extended family. Slowly incorporating fun activities in our weeks will make a world of difference.
I am suddenly reminded of something someone said, “teach your children not that they are meant for extraordinary lives, but to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary.” I pray I can do that for our kids.
