Shame is a tricky feeling.
Embarrassment.
Or being startled, or scared.

We all make mistakes
And we are called out on it.
Or we trip and fall.

I walk Jackie through all these feelings.
Every day.
And she is a good sport.
She lets herself be loved,
Be read,
Be helped to process.

And she teaches me.
With her pure heart,
I learn about myself,
I see the broken adults around me
With perspective.

Adults react with anger when ashamed.
Shifting blame
Pointing fingers.
Not kids. They cry.
And it is a good thing.
Crying is good.
Adults should try it from time to time.
