I rely on my intuition to compliment my logic to make good decisions. But when completely tired and overstimulation both my logic and my intuition seem useless.
Basic decision like when to serve dinner, when we’ve explored the city or the country side for the day, or helping my husband find the best route to get home when I’m in my dads car because we can’t all fit in ours.
It has been a week that I’ve been on the verge of brain implosion.
When we picked mom and dad up from the airport the flight was delayed and we had brought my parents to help with the transportation. We waited quite a few hours but we made a good day of it.
Planning a birthday dinner for my parents, soon after the arrival, serving meals, coordinating, making the cakes, trying to make the house festive inviting and make sure the bathrooms were clean, food shopping for a party and the drinks that add up, keeping in mind these details for when we celebrate Conrad’s birthday with more people and more complicated logistics… on mom and dads last night with us.
We also went to a wedding 300 km away from home. Mom and dad got to see old friends, couples they met at conferences with organized with them, they got to catch up with old friends and embraced the adventure.
I wrecked my brain trying to figure out where to book a place to rest after the wedding. But the months of the bride offered to put us in touch with two families. So the 7 hours of rest were reserved. I just needed to coordinate and talk on the phone with people I didn’t yet know.
Driving back we saw a citadel and a castle. We coordinated with my parents to bring the kids. We met, and it was smooth. No waiting on our part. We made fun memories and saw beautiful sites and took fun pictures. We are good food and I helped dad reconnect with his translator he met 30 years ago. It a marathon of doing this but I know it’s for 2+ weeks and we try to not waste any time.
After picking up a prescription I realize that Jackie’s doctor is not available when he said he would, at the beginning of September. So I scrambled to book her the last morning he was available. It matched with the morning the mvt team set to meet early in the morning. Then we drove up north just as i got home from town.
We had a beautiful adventure at a botanical garden. Traveling back in time. We have a beautiful botanical garden here in cluj but we wanted to go on this particular drive. Then we had lunch: soups and papanași, and it was delicious!
